This kind and intelligent gentleman assists in tuning your organ, holding keys, selecting stops, and helping the tuner listen as he makes the incredibly small adjustments that bring all the hundreds or thousands of organ pipes into tune with each other.

And speaking of incredible, Bob may well be the only man in the pipe organ industry who has had experience as a smuggler! His fascinating life has included service as a missionary in eastern Europe during the Cold War. At a time when the communists were desperately trying to stamp out the Christian faith, Bob and his missionary partners risked their lives to smuggle shipments of Bibles into these iron curtain countries. So, to kind and intelligent, add brave!

When asked what he likes about his job, Bob commented that he loves seeing the churches and hearing the organs. He must, because especially during our busy tuning seasons, Bob spends a lot of time on organ benches.
