While, technically, chimes are
not an organ "stop," there are few sounds in a
pipe organ that are more beloved by
congregations. Used tastefully, chimes can
make a musical statement that is both unique and
worshipful.
Reynolds Associates offers
chimes sets in both 21 and 25 note packages by
all the major manufacturers, including Deagan,
Peterson, and Mayland. We can add this
beautiful effect to your organ for prices
starting as low as $6,750 for 21 notes, or
$7,750 for a 25-note set. Factors that can
affect price include installation location,
keying and stop requirements, etc. We can
even provide independent chime systems with a
separate keyboard for churches that do not have
a pipe organ!
If you have chimes that sound
AWFUL, it may be possible to
replace the playing actions, and even to replace
individual chime tubes that have been cracked or
damaged. We can also retune A=435 chime
sets to A=440. We would be happy to
examine your present system, and may be able to
repair and refurbish what you have for less than
the cost of a new system.
We also offer Zimbelstern
units. These historic organ accessories
have untuned bells that play at randome, giving
a soft "tinkling" background that can be used
under quiet music, but can even be heard through
the full organ!
